Dear Jag Wrestling Family,
Since I’ve been at FMHS, our preseason has always had room for improvement. Our 50 minute class time has always been split, sharing time between the equally important areas of drilling technique, strength training, and achieving both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. Because there is insufficient time to do all three things well, our athletes have never achieved their potential from the preseason program. For the first time ever, your son has the opportunity to achieve his full preseason potential by participating in an after school strength and conditioning program right here on our campus. If I can get a majority of our athletes to participate, it would free up our class time to devote five days a week to drilling technique without sacrificing the strength training and conditioning that your son needs to start his season. FYI-the Allen Eagles have participated in a similar program for the past 10 years. During that time, they have won 8 consecutive State Championships. If it is at all possible, please get your son to participate. I am confident that you will see amazing progress in his wrestling ability when our season begins.
